The book written is called Fire on the beaches. He also wrote another book called The Cay which I am also looking for.

Harper Collins has previews. Not e-books. 1st site
The Book summary Review has links to e-books at the top of the web site, and The Cay came up in paperback. Perhaps if you follow the link, provide (3rd below), you can order as an ebook.

I found both books for sale cheap, but not e-book format. Sorry.
