yes you can if you put one of those watercatchers flatt tubs out , like the ones you put under the washer,but prefably just level on the vinyl floor

The freezer will work fine. The only problem you will have is the compression of the carpeting. No matter what you put under the freezer there will be compression of the carpeting.

freezer do not need the air flow that refrigs do,, how ever the weight of the freezer will leave deep and permanent depressions in the carpet if left too long,, so put some of those "large" easy move plastic deals under the feet or pieces of plywood,,,

you should put some 2x4 under it so air can flow flat on the carpet is not a good idea.
