I am researching health risks when traveling to Mexico. I heard you have to get shots because my friend had to get shots before going to Mexico.

Shots are not mandatory when travelling to Mexicp.

Do NOT get vaccinated.

A vaccinated person is MORE likely to get a disease than a non-vaccinated person. The whole theory of vaccination is flawed. It causes a weakening of the immune system thus making those who are innoculated more susceptible to disease.
There are so many awful side effects to vaccination that it should be considered extremely dangerous.
Just sit back and think for a while.
Is there any sense in injecting a disease directly into your body.
We have been subjected to an awful mind control program to enable the drug manufacturers to make a fortune.

If you go to the vaccination liberation web page, at
http://www.vaclib.org/exemption.htm
You will find all the forms necessary to provide exemption for your child.

I visit Mexico all the time and I never had to get any shots before going. Although this one time I went there I had a bad reaction to shrimp and I had to get a shot there. I was scared that they were going to give me a used needle, but I watched the doctor open a brand new package.

It depends where are you going (you won't need any if going to Mexico City, but you'll be better off with them if you're going to the tropics - you don't need them but it's good to have them, if you're traveling on a mission get everything you can get because the medical service in rural isolated areas is poor.)

These are all the vacines you MAY need, take into account that most of these are for rural, tropical areas:
Hepatitis A or immune globulin (IG).
Hepatitis B, especially if you might be exposed to blood or body fluids (for example, health-care workers), have sexual contact with the local population, or be exposed through medical treatment.
Malaria.
Rabies, if you might have extensive unprotected outdoor exposure in rural areas.
Typhoid vaccine.
Yellow transmitted to humans through the bite of infected mosquitoes.
As needed, booster doses for tetanus-diphtheria and measles.
