Toyota Camry fuel door. PLEASE HELP?

I have a '99 Toyota Camry and today the lever that opens the fuel door doesn't work. Does anyone know an alternate way to open the fuel door?

inside trunk pull down carpet/trunk paneling near gas door,should be a pull cable there,pull it.

You should be able to pry it open without force. pry the door than use the release again. This should open the door. It sounds like the release by the fuel cap needs to lubricated. Use WD-40 or something similar.
