Nope, if they do work, I don't want to talk to anyone in the past tense....

Ouija Boards were created by a toy manufacturer. The name comes from The French, yes, oui, and the German, yes, Ja. The planchette was borrowed from the very old and respected art of automatic writing.
Every time enough people start in calling Ouija boards scary and evil their sales go up.
You can achieve the same effects and sometimes interesting readings with a crystal pendulum with the thread held between two finger over a circle of letters and numbers with another persons hand on top of yours.
Evil cannot occur unless you expect evil to occur.

No. I used to, long ago. I scared myself with one. It is really just a tool for spelunking in the deep, dark parts of your own mind about your own unspoken hopes or more often fears.
Superstitious people will say you can really contact spirits with a Ouija board, but in my theory, no "spirit" can do anything in the world without a live body to do the doing, so whatever happens during "spirit contacts" is something being done by people.
If you are superstitious or gullible (like I've been in the past), you can scare yourself with a Ouija board.

No kidding...
My friend (who has cerebral palsy) and I achieve remarkable results on my great grandmother's board, because she literally has no control of her movements. As a result, the Ouija pointer slides jerkily around the board, in a truly useful way for the spirits to access. The ammount of coherent words we see is far beyond chance probability, we think. I believe we have successfully communicated with several of our passed relatives this way! It's very exciting. SEE? An advantage to a physical handicap!

Ouija boards are for silly little girls at slumber parties. They were lots of fun when I was ten!

I'm trying to use a paper one by myself but nothings happened. The cup hasn't moved. I got cold and the dog started growling and then it stopped.

The mass produced ones are toys, I don't bother. The ones which have been handed down through the generations carry great power and you DO NOT PLAY with that.

Oh yeah, those things are amusing! I tricked my friend once, making her think there was an actual spirit in the room. I asked the so called "spirit" random, stupid questions and I moved the thingymajig with my fingers. She actually believed it was a ghost! LOL! I totally freaked her out! Mu ha ha! >:)

I use to.
One must be very careful. Always open the board by moving the cursor to 'Hello' and close it by moving the cursor to 'Goodbye'.
