Bridges are built for people, not for Walrus (who wouldn't walk across with their flips or flaps) & Polar bears (who may not deign to use it). Then it is needed to built a few thousand miles of connecting roads on the Russian side (even in Alaska I am afraid). At the end of it all, someone comes out with a company & a few helicopters, to ferry the men across if ever he finds one.
