Arab of course. I would never call an egyptian "black", right? I thought this one would be all across the board.

All of the above. I believe that the general concensus is that Arabs are the majority in Egypt though. People of mixed arab and black and even completely black ancestry exist to a lesser extent however. If you're curious as to what to call an Egyptian if the topic comes up, just ask politely. It's better than calling them something they're not and accidentally offending them.

i am half egyptian and i have been asked this question many times egyptions are not black although they are africans but there are many africans that are not black nore nessecarly white... however it depends if an egyptian is arab because egypt was its own society way back when isolated to the world and then the arabs took over egypt so depending on your religion and culturistic purity determines if an egyptian is arab or not most egyptian muslims are arab and egyptian christians are not there fore egyptian is its own race and you should chek the other box in a servey

It really depends. Not all Egyptians are Black and not all Egyptians are Arabs. I know it sounds confusing but it's just like any other country. Not all Saudi Arabians are black, but some may be. It truly depends on the individual.

Egyptians are Egyptians first, North Africans second

"Don't you dare call an Egyptian Black. They hate it," one poster responded.

Sickening.

"I'm half Egyptian and we're not Black," another said.

Just delusional.

Listen up, you can LOOK at them and tell some are mixed Black. Some look whiter, not white really, but, well, off white.

And how could they NOT be?! This "North African" "Sub Saharan" Africa divide is sooo stupid. At LEAST the "North Africans" would be mixed, as with MOST other countries that border each other.

Puh-lease.
