Remove the negative battery lead for 45 seconds. Reconnect the lead and the diagnostics should have reset.

Which light is on? What does it say? This is important. The computer should be scanned to find out what the problem is. If not addressed properly it will cost you more in the long run.

if you are talking about the service engine light, you should have it checked, these lights come on for a reason. disconnecting the battery will do nothing on a vehicle this new, the light might go out for a short time but definitely will come back.
