I've never been on birth control before and I started the patch this month. Within 4 days the thing got caught on my jeans and was hanging off of skin and since the sticky part was exposed to my pants all day it lost it's adhesive, so i just took it off. I was only on it for 4 days so I thought it probably wasn't even kicked in yet--well 2days later I started a heavy period for about 3 days. And now a week later I feel as though I am PMSing. Which if I am, that means my cycle never changed, I would be due for a period at the end of this month but I am wondering if stopping my bc mid cylce changed my cyle? OR was the bleeding not a period? THanks!!!!!!!!!

They should be able to tell you what happenned and what you should do the next time it happens. You need to also found out the side effects of birth control. Not all women respond the same way.

Interrupting any birth control mid way though a cycle will always induce an immediate cycle to start. It usually just throws your menstrual cycle off briefly. More than likely you will resume your normal schedule after a cycle or two. No worries!
