1. You're not fastening the diaper good
2. The diaper may be too big/too small
3. Maybe the diapers.
Change the brand you are using, then see if it still happens...

Make sure that his Pee Pee is pointed down! Little boys to get erected so.. he might be doing that during the night. If those dont work try a different diaper. If you dont have monety for the expensive type.. try this. We didnt have a lot of money when I was young and my little brother had the same problem you are having! My mom put Kotex in his diaper and it fixed the problem! Kotex are cheaper than diapers... so.... Hope it helps

My son is 3 weeks old and I asked this same question... I found the problem was from folding his diaper down due to his cord being attached... but also make sure the diaper is very snug around his waist and it really does help to point his pee pee down... we have been using pampers swaddlers newborn and pointing his pee pee down and havent had the problem... a lot of people told me to use bigger size so i tried some huggies size 1 and it made it worse so dont think the diaper is too small... we went bigger and pee and poop leaked!! Goodluck!!

Luvs were the best when my son was little. I don't know is they make a newborn, but I know the toddler ones were the only brand that would absorb all his pee! You don't want the diaper too tight on his little belly, but snugness is important.......you'll get the hang of it . Buy small bags of diapers until you find the brand that works for you...

If his diaper doesn't get changed before it's full, it can leak out onto his clothes. I sometimes have the same problem with my sons diapers. If his diaper can't absorb anymore pee, it will leak up onto his back. Also, baby's lay on their back so that's the first place the pee is going to go is up the back.

Try Tescos homebrand nappies as they are one of the best around and make sure 'percy' is pointing downwards when you put the nappy on and this should stop his back getting soaked!

I have a five month old that did that the first three weeks until I finally realized how it was happening. it has nothing to do with diapers or anything. Simply point his winky down and the problem will be solved

When my son did that it meant it was time to switch to a larger size diaper. That fixed the problem every time

We always aim our son's penis down (towards his feet) when putting on his nappy and have never had the problem you seem to be having.
