When I was about 8yrs old, I played a piece on the piano in a concert that my Grandad had put on at his church.
Afterwards, an elderly lady came up to me to thank me for playing, and put a ten pence piece in my hand (the old 10p piece), and I remember to this day it covering the whole of the palm of my hand. It was huge!
I went out and bought some Lego the next day (this was 1976 and Lego wasn't as expensive as today) and it was the start of a collection of Lego which I still have!
In a few years I'm going to give it all to my nephew, who I hope will get as much pleasure out of it all as I did.

I'm so lucky in the fact of that there are so many for me to choose from !

But as you only asked for 1.........

Living in my old house as a small child. It was a big old 1900's house with tall ceilings, cellar, big garden, stone hallway, open fire places in every room.

Sadly, its been knocked down now and replaced by flats.

There was something VERY speical about it.

I went for a walk in the country with my then boyfriend. He was carrying a rug and we spread it under a tree. I lay with the grass tickling my toes, him tickling my fancy, the sound of buzzing insects and the warm sun beating down.

When I last actually spoke with my great grandma. She told me then, before she had her stroke, that she would always be there for me, and I know that, even now, all of these years later, she is with me.
