You are welcome to your own opinion. However the notion that there is a nine foot tall breeding population of thousands of hairy hominids roaming through the woods, and nobody has yet to produce anything resembling serious scientific evidence is, yes I have to admit, a little crazy. At some point one would have been hit by a car, shot during hunting season, had a heart attack while crossing a trail, anything that would have produced a body. The films, like the famous Patterson film that everyone has seen, have been proved to be either hoaxes or so blurred that they could be anything and making Bigfoot tracks has been something of a cottage industry and favorite past time of locals in the north woods for years now. Only a body should be considered as hard proof and nothing like that has ever been produced.

It isn't that I don't wish such things might not be true. Its just that there should be some sort of real scientific evidence by now. Just consider that we can't have a deer season go by without one hunter blowing another out of his tree stand and then swearing that he was sure that he was shooting at a deer,,,in a tree. With that sort of marksmanship and hunting savy Bigfoot, if he were real, would have already stopped a bullet.

It would be great if there was a Bigfoot but I'm afraid that common sense dictates that there isn't.

Addendum: To answer Jim Z who posted below, the Patterson film has infact been exposed as a complete hoax. The fellow who "played" Bigfoot in the film has even come forward with the details corroborating his story.
For those who can't even accept that you might want to consider that Patterson rented the camera that he used to make the film for only the weekend. As he did so with the expressed intent of filming Bigfoot and had to ride to Bluff Creek on horse back doesn't it strike you as a tad overly optimistic on his part that he thought he could capture Bigfoot on camera? He allowed himself a very narrow window of opportunity, no more than an hour or two, in which to film the beast. Almost as if he knew well in advance where Bigfoot would be and when. Call me a novice but I hadn't realized that Bigfoot was willing to schedule appearances in advance like that.
Considering the thousands of hours invested in the search since then, with nothing to show in the way of serious evidence, this myth and the Patterson film, is busted.

You are correct. Bigfoot is real as crazy as that sounds. The person saying the Patterson film was proven a fake or blurry, obviously doesn't know what he is talking about. It was a film of a real hairy hominoid living near Bluff Creek.

Sorry but it just makes for good story telling. Many stories that you will hear are just that stories with no real truth or evidence behind them.
