I am a nerd in a musical, about the 80's. The question is, what do I wear (as an 80s Nerd)?

Chucks with the sock up to you knees, shorts w/ suspenders (red preferably) and a white shirt with a tie. Glasses as well, with too much gel in your hair.

Computer nerds/geeks evolved in the 80's. White socks, trousers that are too short and show your ankles, some kind of dodgy xmas home kintted style jumper or polyester shirt and tank top. Glasses and crap hair.

High water dress pants, Striped dress shirt tucked in & buttoned all the way up. pen protector, glasses, hair combed to side, and dress shoes, make sure you pull your pants up high, if you need a refrence see revenge of the nerds

too short pants, button-up shirt, slicked-over hair, broken glasses with tape on them, Converse chucksters (they are great now, but were "out" then!)
Or you could just watch any Molly Ringwald movie from the 80's and dress as one of her nerdy guy friends (like "Ducky").

way to short pants with very long brown socks
a white button up shirt with a pen protector
and big glass with lots of tape and a pair of lofers with a long dorky tie
