Complement: You just subtract the given angle from 90 degrees.
90 - (y+20) = 90 - y - 20 = (70 - y) degrees
Supplement: You just subtract the given angle from 180 degrees.
180 - (y+20) = 180 - y - 20 = (160 - y) degrees
