i have depression problems but for a while now i couldnt afford to see a dr. well i started to lose ot again to know matter how much ive learned or how much control ive had over my depression. when things in my life were spiraling fast i couldnt take it anymore. i had heard of this over the counter herbal supplament called st johns wort.so i said skrew it ill try anything at this point. so the first three days i took one and felt no different. the pharmasist said that its like paxil or lexapro so dont over do the dosage. but i also thought, well, a doctor would increase it so i upped it to 2 in the morn. oh my god. it was like heaven. the noise in my head stopped, which lowered my stress, which gave me more energy, which also helps me sleep straight through the night, my life is still difficult but sometimes other peoples problems shouldnt be your problem. dont let others bring you down. surround yourself with hsppiness, like if your guy is down and you need to get away from the negativity go out and find your own fun. but seriously i love the pills and it works fast. ive also heard about somethong called sam-E . find out what thats about . hope this helped. my email address is skysmama77@yahoo.com

I kid you not: Masturbation. It causes your body to emit all
sorts of hormones and other goodies which will cause your
stress to drop quickly.
Of course, you need to do it in a safe place, or you could be
making things worse, not better.
Also, the effects will be more profound with men than with
women, but still pretty amazing either way.
That being said: I would not make a habit of it. Although
there is no proven connection between masturbation and
any ill physiological effects, it can, if over-practiced, be
addictive. "Sex addicts" do exist and they even have their
own 12 step programs.
However, in moderation, it can be very effective.

try a yummy scented candle,a long warm bubble bath, or try yoga. running (weather permitting) may help. eat chocolate! there is something in there that helps calm nerves. Call a friend. If all else fails, say f*ck it and have a beer.
Good luck!

go hop on a treadmill, go to the gym, exercise, tire yourself out, get a good sweat going, you'll feel right as rain. I've done ice, coke, smoked opium and the best pot you'll find, even drank to blackout, but nothing gets rid of stress like good exercise

Take a long walk and really look around at the world, touch things you see, feel the textures, the shapes. Exteriorize your attention outward.

Oddly stressing about MAKING yourself relax can make it tougher to relax. I've found that about 10 minutes of deep breathing exercises and a bit of meditation can MAKE me relax. It's rather neat :)
