How is your router connected to the internet? Sounds like the router is not connected to the internet. The other problem could be the way you have your network set up. You may need to identify that the connection is shared.

Well, you can connect to the router, so the problem is with your setting past this and repairing the connection will not help.
If your running cable, see if you have an IP address. Power off the cable company's modem and wait one minute (to get a new IP) power it back up and wait for it to start, then fire back up your router.
If your running DSL, check your ppoe settings and make sure you entered your username and password.

someone could be hijacking your bandwidth if you haven't secured your wireless network. If you haven't done this I advise you do so immediately. You log to your router/firewall, through your browser using the IP address of the router, if you haven't set it up, it has a default IP that should be listed on the instruction manual, along with the user name and password. Once logged on you can enable WEP encryption, change your firewall user name and password, etc. This will prevent evil doers from jacking your internet.

I ran into same problem when I got mine. Thought it was configured wrong or hardware roblem. It wasn't either. Just happened to go somewhere and it connedted easy. Signal needs tobe strong and after it says connected, you need to reopen explorer.
