I wouldn't say deliberate homers , but with the home crowd on their back they do sometimes give decisions that they might not have if the roles were reversed , i also think some refs are too familiar and pally with certain players/teams .

This is why we all love football. Some professor decides to waste his classes time, with a hair brained idea like this, and we all sit up and listen.Tell me in your infinite wisdom, if the report had of gone the other way, would we all be slating the ref for positive discrimination? Its just another 5 minute wonder! If we continue to give credence to these reports, we will all turn into americans, and come up with conspiracy theories!!!

well it depends on the ref, some of the refs at the 2006 world cup made some pretty stupid calls on obvious tackles, grabs, and fouls so it really all boils down to the game...but yea refs can be real homers sometimes

I agree.
I like to call it the Champions League phenomenon where only the top 4 teams get the dodgy decisions!

Yes I agree you only have to look at what Rangers get away with in Scotland and the dodgy decisions when they're struggling, (which is most of the time) from bias masonic officials as we live in a anti catholic society.. sadly.

And the question comes from a Liverpool fan?? Dont make me laugh, Anfield is where it all began ,any shout for a penalty from the kop and the ref always gave it !!

Refs are human beings and as such they will definately favor one team over another. The trick for them is not to let their emotions rule their decisions but someetimes it does happen. Unfair as it is, it's life.

Until we get robots for refs, this will always happen.

I dont blame them, they just want the wheels to be still on their car by the time they get out of the stadium.
