The once Alcoholics Anonymous cult leader that smoked himself to death is still alive! I seen him at a meeting last night, and there he was, as big as life!

Bill was chanting his usual AA slogans and signing copies of the big book when I asked him the question, "why did you create such lies that are responsible for the deaths of millions?" He was about to answer my question when I lost my temper, and nailed him in the chops with a right hook! He staggered to the door chanting more of his cult slogans, and left in a cloud of cigarette smoke. I need to practice that right hook!

I saw this question, and I thought; is this guy having a laugh? Then I read the actual points after the question, and my word is it apt. Bill W is revered by millions of people, both in AA and out of it, however these people have no idea what Bill Wilson was really like. He had his spiritual awakening under the influence of LSD, and he was undeniably mad when he wrote the 12 Steps and 12 Traditions. And as for the man that invented the 13th Step - I won't even go there...

I get your point as well about how he lives on in the rooms as the oldtimers silence people with their thought-stopping slogans. The program of the Alcoholics Anonymous and the 12 Steps are nothing but a war on self, disguised as a self- help group. I find it interesting that any group that encourages its members to hand their and will their lives over to God (as they understand Him) should be described as a self help group.

The fact that people who attend AA over those that have no treatment at all are more than 4 times more likely to binge drink having been to AA, is interesting to say the very least. Or how about that by AA's own figures it has a 5% success rate which just so happens to be the spontaneous rate of remission?

And Bill W did make a lot of money from the Big Book...

I hope you are well nonetheless.
