My husband was changing the septic tank and he dropped the plumbers glue to seal it on the floor.

The purple glue is for PVC pipes. The V in PVC stands for vinyl. The glue has ruined the flooring.

Just bought a house, and had brand new viynl floor. This happended to me also. I'm sorry but I don't think there is anything you can do. I had to put a rug to cover mine up. Maybe someone out there will have a trick to help us both out.

the thing you could try is to put newspaper over the glue and get your iron out , if you have still an older one good . Put the hot iron on top of the newspaper and heat it up . glue should melt and stick to the paper . I tried it before and it worked . But anything is worth trying before you need to rip out the floor !

Buy more purple glue and make the whole floor purple.

eventually the primer will eat thru the vinyl, trust me been there done that you'll just need to replace them, sorry!

it will never happen you will have to live with the stain or replace the floor

hmmm....i don't think this will work but you can try Goo Gone. Also a nice rug does wonders on floor...
