When you bet around the bush, it implies that you have a point or a goal, but your just not getting there fast enough. Say you are talking to someone, and you have to tell them something important, but you keep changing the subject or stalling for time - that's like "Beating Around the Bush."

To "Kick Up Your Heels" means taking action. If someone is lazy at work, you might say, "I wish they would kick up their heels and work for a change!" Or if your going out with the girsl for a night, you could, "Kick up our heels and have some fun!"

If you "Spill the Beans," it's like giving away a secret that is not supposed to be given away. Like if their was a surprise party for someone, but is their friend told them about it, then that friend would have "Spilled the Beans."

Hope that helped!! :)

P.S To "hit the books" means to get your act together and sit down to do some very hard core studying, research, homework, or hard work in general.

All of the chick's answers above are correct and blow your top means to flip out and go crazy.

Like you can be angry and blow your top, or if you're out partying, "we blew the top off the place" = it was a crazy night
