What could be a thesis statement (or universal truth) for "The Wizard of Oz"?
...I was thinking of something along the lines of, "You don't need a heart to love" or "You don't need brains to think" except put together into a more unviersal way, like, "What you have doesn't matter, you can still love and think no matter what." .......
But any other ideas are really welcome too :)

There's No Place Like Home " is the main theme. But there are so many good ones in that movie. The ruby slippers , something she had all along that could take her back home. The idea about the scarecrow and lion, is more like - You don't need to have others approval to succeed. My parents could not afford college, so they tried to help me do stuff that I already had talent in to make money. (artwork) Its kinda like Forrest Gump, Jenny didn't think she could love him because he was retarded, yet He was the one that truly knew how to love her. Same with the tin man, no heart but knows compassion.We learn what we are taught. Best of Luck!

The point I think was never judge a book by the cover. Be inquisitive and follow your heart.

you should say " no matter what other people might say, you don't need to have a heart to love or a brain to think, or courage to not be afraid. you just need to realize what your problem is and try to fix it, brain or not." sounds good to me, i just made it up. haha
