Two things, actually. First, the fantastic little envelope of pure firecracker-in-your-mouth candy. Secondly, sometimes in nature you can find hollow mud balls or castings. You dry them out and then can throw them with great force on a sidewalk. :) Where I come from, they are called 'pop rocks'.

The birth of my 1st female cousin back in 1979. Riding down the road in the backseat and my grandmother fussing because she didn't like the way my Aunt spelled her daughters name. I was eating pop rocks.
