My parents are really strict. I asked my dad if on halloween could I go out with my friends. But I also explained to him where we wanted to go, who was going to be there, and what was going to go on. (All we want is to have shaving cream fights and go trick-or-treat). But, my dad said things happen on Halloween. I think he is being really unfair because nothing ever goes on in my small town and im turning 16 and i find that instead of them easing up on, it's only becoming worse and i`m not a bad kid. Please help me convince my parents to go out!

Show them some how you can be responsible. Make a deal with them. If you can't go, its probally for the best. I wasn't allowed out at first when I was about 14, but now I'm 16 and can go anywhere I wan't because my parents know I am responsible.

I'm 17 and whenever some one asks me if im too old to go trick or treating i tell them that i figure as long as i put a little bit of effort into a costume, dont torture little kids, and say trick or treat at the door then i should be able to go trick or treating. If hes worried about you guys getting kidnapped or something then tell him that your going with a group of friends so youll be okay, plus if your going out somewhere where there will be at lot of trick or treaters then nothing will happen because there are so many ppl around. If worse comes to worse you could always bring some one older (but still kewl) with you like an older cousin of someones or something. p.s. ask him what you would have to do to be able to go out, and work with w/e his answer is.

Good Luck!

You might instead find an alternative activity, such as a party at a church or community center, or a neighborhood parade, or a party at a friend's house where adults are present.

Ask your parents if you can have your friends over to your house either before or after they go out without you. You can play music, watch movies or TV, and have treats. That way, you can all see each other in costume (right?) and enjoy each other's company, even if you yourself can't go out with them.

well I would suggest you make a bargin with your dad that you will do some chore around the house if he will let you go out with your friends on halloween and then if you do behave yourself and don't do anything that would be wrong. Go and have a good time but do it wisely and don't do nothing foolish like rowing someone yards or getting drunk I will pray for you that you and your dad will come to an understanding good luck. happy halloween

If I agreed with you, I would. But is it possible at ALL that your parents are looking out for your best interest and not just trying to ruin your social life? I wish you could trust me when I tell you that one day lost is worth a better life, dear one.
