A factual statement :
Few years ago the country Called "Kenya" from African continent produced one postage stamp.
The stamp had the Indian (Hindu's) symbol of OM printed on it.
And the stamp had the following statement printed on it along with OM symbol :
"Symbol of world peace".
This is a fact.
So the symbol for peace could be either OM
Or a white dove or a white pigeon.
The symbol for Love could be a heart.

Well, of course there are the usual ones- doves, two fingers in a V sign, and of course, the actual "peace sign," but to me I think the best symbol for peace is those old pictures from the 60's, with daisies shoved into the barrel of a shotgun. It's totally representative of what peace is really all about- stopping war and violence with beauty and innocence.
A good symbol of love- once again, lots of cliches out there to choose from- there's the heart, of course, the sign language "I Love You" sign, Cupid with some arrows, etc.- but I once heard someone say that the perfect metaphor for love is a cake. A homemade cake, because most people don't make cakes for themselves. They make them for people they love, to celebrate them in some way or to cheer them up. They have to put each ingredient in, measure it perfectly, time the baking right, and work on the decorations on top- all with that person in mind. And then they give it to the person, and that person doesn't just eat it all himself. He shares it with everybody, which is what love is really all about, when you think about it.
