Three minutes actually goes by pretty quickly once you get started. Start with an introduction of yourself and your job. Outline your major tasks and responsibilities, and one or two of the challenges of doing the job well. Wind it all up with telling why you find the job interesting. That should take at least three minutes. If you need to, outline the points you want to make on a small index card which you can hold while talking. Even if you don't read it, it will give your hands something to hold and do- which is much better than sticking them in your pockets. It will also help if you practice your little talk in front of a parent or a friend before hand, just to get an idea of the timing. Don't get all upset if you hem and haw, and try to keep yourself from saying things like "uh" to fill in time spaces. If you organize your points ahead of time so you know what you are going to say, this is less likely to happen. Good luck with the speech, and remember 3 minutes goes quickly even if it feels like eternity while you are doing it.

I think you should talk about being polite. Think about the way you "greet" people. How do you do this? Then give the answers. I will give you one greeting: "How is your day going"? (I hope others will help you on this).
