What makes this even more incredible is the sharp exchange Chris Wallace had with Hillary's husband, for President Bill Clinton.

NEW YORK (Oct. 30) - The conservative New York Post endorsed Democratic Sen. Hillary Clinton for re-election on Monday in the latest sign of closeness between the Clintons and the Post's media mogul owner Rupert Murdoch.

In an editorial, the Post praised Clinton as being a "pretty good senator" who was popular with her Senate colleagues, attentive to the needs of the state and a centrist on national security issues.

"Surprised? Well, so are we -- a little," the Post said of its endorsement.

Clinton is being challenged in the November 7 election by Republican John Spencer but the Post said he "isn't a credible alternative."

Clinton holds a big lead in opinion polls. The Post appeared to suggest it wanted to see Clinton stay in the Senate and not run for president in 2008.

"We think she's done such a good job these last six years that she'd do well to serve six more. If not 12," the Post said. "Re-elect Hillary. In 2012."

Demicans and Republicrats, they are thisclose on many issues!
I told you! As long as they work together to keep it a two party system, this country will not be able to see what other brilliant people who live here have to offer.

Its true. Clinton has surprised people by working well with Conservatives in Congress and being a true uniter, not a divider. She's a powerful congressman and good for New York. Why should the paper look stupid by endorsing a long-shot candidate that many of its own readers would not consider credible? It'd make the paper look like an overly biased joke. Sort of like FOX.

Isn't that something. And the conservative Wall Street Journal consistently endorsed her husband.

You might want to look into the difference between small c conservatives like The Economist and The Wall Street Journal and the capital C Conservatives like Bush and Cheney.

She has done a good job for New York. She is also behind finishing the job in Iraq. That's going to cost her some Dem votes, but I can see where she'd be a good choice for Moderates.

We need another Clinton in office like we need more government in our private lives. Obviously, the NY Post is not conservitive.
