The noise seems like that of SUPER LOUD motorbikes.....!! when i accelerate the noise gets louder and louder....the car functions normally besides from the noise....any guesses as to what could be wrong so that I know what to expect from the mechanic?? And also do u think it is safe to drive to a mechanic or get it towed? Any help is appreciated!

Your exhaust manifold or pipe broke loose. It's ok to drive to the muffler shop, but extended driving like that won't help your engine or emissions and will get you a ticket.
The hissing noise sounds more like a vacuum leak. That will stall your engine while idling too.
