will Intel Pentium D 805 2.66GHz / 2MB Cache / 533 FSB / Socket 775 / Dual-Core / Processor with Fan, work good for gameing if not what INTEL WILL be GOOD for gameing that is a socket 775 and isn't the core 2 duo.

i don't want core 2 duo because my mobo doesn't support it and it cost more than the P D

Dual core processor are good for gaming, don't listen to the last guy. I am not sure why you don't want the Core 2 Duo, the E6300 is only $180. Anyway, if you want to spend less than that you should really go with AMD, they are better than Intel in that price range. To be honest, anything under $180 for Intel is not very good for gaming.

Dual core processors are not currently the best for gaming (there are some performance issues). Stick to single core, 32 bit processors.
