Rene Descartes "I think therefore I am".
Theres more to those quotes than you'd first beleive. The idea is that how do you know whats real or not, how can you trust your senses? How do you know your not really in a dream, or in popular culture terms "The Matrix". Descartes says you can not, theres no way to know that anything you perceive is real, other than the fact that as a thinking being you exist.
Do more research, it's good to think about these things...if you really get into it check out Nietzsche or David Hume.
