No i personally thought he did a terrible job and that it was his fault why the movie was bad overall. I'm not saying he's a bad actor because i've seen his other stuff, he just didnt suit the character well which is why he did such a bad job in the movie. But as he started playing the more evil Anakin his acting got more and more tolerable, prolly because thats more his style or preference kinda like that movie where he helps build that house, but i forget the name

well, I think he did a very good job as Anakin but he wasn't darth vader until the very end of the Third Star wars.

Not in a million years but that may due to bad scripting and miscasting rather than a reflection of his talent. I can't see any possible way that the sniveling crybaby Anakin, 'Obi Wan is just jealous!" could ever become one of the greatest villians in cinematic history, striking fear in everyone's heart the moment in enters any scene. Vader was trying to kill his own offspring for christ's sake! Gimmie a break.

not even close. hayden christensen is a big ***** and i absolutely hate him. i'm not even a big star wars fan and i was EMBARASSED by the newest movie. he cant act, unless he's acting like a little girl. darth vader is james earl jones... a massive badass! not some little ***** crybaby. i hate him. i absolutely hate him.
i dont know if you noticed, but this is a touchy subject for me. lol.

I'm not sure anyone could have done a better job, considering the script. He had to play a selfish, cocky, whining boy - who could do that without seeming lame?

He sucked in Attack of the Clones. But he was great in Revenge of the Sith.

At certain times he was great and others not so great. Overall, he did well with the terrible lines he had.

No, I thought he was a little stiff in his portrayal. His performance was not worthy of Darth Vadar.
