It all depends on what type of mower you have and is it's a front or rear tire. Usually there are two brackets that hold the wheel onto the axel and it's full of grease. I would just take it in to a mower service provider because you want to make sure when putting on a new tire it get the proper lubercation and fit.

most of the mowers today have a little plastic cup covering the center of the wheel,, take this off by pulling it straight out,,, behind this you will find a LARGE C ring,,,, remove this and the wheel slides off,,, be careful not to loose the break away key that is in the long slot of the drive shaft wheel!!
