what determines size of aerolas? i dont think its the size of the girls breasts necessarily cause ive seen some large ones on small breasts and even on a small girl. so what is it?

Every woman & girl comes in different sizes & shapes, this includes their areolas.
The areola's color normally ranges from light pink to dark brown. Areolar color is highly variable, but generally tends to be paler among people with lighter skin tones and darker among people with darker skin tones. Areolae generally darken during pregnancy. Some regression to the original color may occur after delivery. Areolar diameter is also highly variable.

This would be called "genetics". Genetics determines many things about how men and women look, and this is just one more thing. As usual, size is irrelevent and meaningless.
