What Can I Do for a "Scarlet Letter" Symbol Project?

I need to develop an original, creative project on one of the many symbols from the novel "The Scarlet Letter". I have absolutely no idea what to do. This is supposed to ameliorate the AP English class grades but as of now I can't see how it would do so. Any ideas are appreciated.

The scarlet letter 'A' in the book is a symbol itself. You can do a project on that.

well start by listing the symbols from the book , it has been a long time since many of us have read that book , lol


the way I took that book is that she was used to take attention away from any one elses wrong doing, they marked her with an A so that everyone focused on her and her wrong doing and it took the heat off of anyone else

this directly relates to a VERY big topic of today, the political commercials and ads that are running. Everyone (most everyone) is running dirty campaigns, trying to discredit the other person so that they don't look as bad.

I would do a project showing this, Larry King Live ran a really good show on this over the weekend showing some of the terrible commercials that where running.

add symbols from the book on to the letter ?

What I did a few years ago was draw a pic of the main character ( I forgot her name) and draw her at the scene where she is about to be hung and draw the scarlet letter "A" on the front of her dress. Then you can descibe why the letter was close to her heart because she always stayed true to herself and was never ashamed of her letter. that is why she wears it upon her chest,
