read it carefully. its says the product of something and something... which is multiplying two numbers.
the first number is x increased (plus) by 10
the second number is 4
and multiplying these two numbers equals 22.

alright so lets start, try to follow and understand it:
(x + 10)4 = 22

4x + 40 = 22

4x = -18

x = -18/4

x = -9/2 orrrrr - 4½

hope this helped :)
