i know most people get them at 16-17 but i'm just getting mine and i'm 21 is this bad or odd?

It isn't bad. It's fine as long as you're cool with not getting it till then. =)

The only bad part is that in some states your insurance is based on how long you've had your license. If you got it when you were 16, but didn't drive at all, it still would help to lower your insurance rate. Being over 25 and driving for 6 years puts you in the lowest level for cost.

If the US had it's **** together we could have the most awesome public/mass-transportation in the world and you wouldn't have to worry about a drivers license.
