newborns only eat 1-2oz at a time.. and really a can of formula (the big one) is about $22-25 and that should last probably 3 weeks!
so that would be about $5-10 a week for you in the beginning!

until they get older and drink more. like now my baby is 4 months old and a can lasts us a week. and it's about $24.00 for me a week.

i have WIC and they give me 10 smaller cans of powder formula a month but my son eats 12 so we end up buying 2 extra. if u can get wic where ur at then do that. my baby is only 7 weeks now and eats like a grown man. those cans are about 12dollars apiece. at the hospital they did send me home with a can of formula too so u shouldnt have too many worries if u havent had the baby yet. if your gonna use nestle goodstart formulas go to their website verybestbaby.com and they send u coupons for formula u can use an eleven dollar off coupon on one purchase so its pretty helpful. goodluck and i hope ur baby isnt 8lbs 15ozs 23 1/2 in like mine was

It depends on what kind you are going to get. With my fist two, you get so much as gifts from the doctors and hospital, you have about a week or so before you have to get any. I used Goodstart for both of mine, and I will for my one on the way too. I got the big can, I think it is about $16, and it lasts two weeks. If you are really trying to save money have the mother try breastfeeding, then you won't have to buy any.
If you would rather have simalic or enfimail, then you will pay more. You can also look into WIC. They give you free vouchers for simalic.

It's going to depend on what type of formula you get along with the brand. Some brands are more expensive than others, as well as the types: powder, liquid concentrate and ready-to-feed. Powder is the cheapest form and ready-to-feed is the most expensive. It's also going to depend on the type of formula: regular, soy, hypoallergenic.

If you buy the super big powder cans of formula at Costco, they last a pretty long time. Roughly 2-3 weeks, depending on how much your baby eats. For me, I think it cost about $10 a week. Maybe a little less.

If you have WIC in your area you may qualify. To receive formula for the baby. The qualifications are reasonable. Look it up in your area. It's a lot of help. I breast feed so they give me food as well. Milk, cheese, eggs, peanut butter, juice etc. And when I need formula for her cereal in the morning they would give me one container which normally cost $25. That would last all month I only used in in the breakfast.

But if you don't breastfeed than they give you formula for the month. Now if your baby starts to eat allot later in the months to come than on top of the wic you may have to spend an additional $30 month. They only give you so much. And as the baby grows wic will provide you with milk, cereal, eggs ect. for the baby.

Sorry if I rambled on I hope this helps.

Two big cans a week, I buy store brand at about $13 a can, so about $26 a week. If you are low income your baby may qualify for WIC which would give you free formula.

each can runs about $20. You can get on WIC and they will help you if your cant afford the formula. You might also want to just try breastfeeding.
