f(x) is an increasing function.
f(-2) = 2(-2) + 1 = -4 + 1 = -3
f(3) = 2(3) + 1 = 6 + 1 = 7
Any number that is less than -3 or greater than 7 will not be in the range using the given domain.

2x+1 is inbetween [-2,3](You should know "interval notation" )
graph it.
or
Plug in X=-2 into that equation
Then plug in x=3
You get Range = [-3,7]
so.. (-infinity,-3]U[7, infinity) is not in the range... hope that helps XD
