A flash drive is a little USB device you plug into USB and it can hold a lot of information. Although the physical size looks the same (it's small), the hard drive size varies... you can have as little as 32 mg and some hold a lot of files. That's why some are cheap and some are expensive.

They are also called, Thumb drives, (Dell calls them Memory keys)... there are other names for them too. It's just a way to carry information with you - so if you took pictures and put them on your computer. You'd be able to drag them to your flash drive and take the flash drive to your friend's computer and show them the pictures......

Flash drives are also known as "jump drives" and "thumb drives" (because they have about the size of a thumb). They are an easily connectable device to store data much as a CD-ROM or a floppy. Windows XP will detect it the minute you connect it in a USB port and voila! You have more storage capacity. You unplug by pulling it and you can "move" your data, it is compact and very reliable.

A flash drive also known as a "flash key" is as small device for storing information. Currently they range from 64MB all the way up to 64GB the 64GB are just as small as the rest it just holds more, it's very impressive, and so isn't the price tag.
