You should have taken it back as soon as you noticed the problem.

I think they send it off to some phone engineers and open it up to see if they can find what's caused the fault, as long as there's nothing that you've done to break it I'm pretty sure they'll exchange it. If you have insurance they will also exchange it. I once had a problem like this with a phone and I took it in (they denied there was a known fault with that type of phone but funnily enough the person behind me in the queue had the same model and was experiencing the same problems) anyway, they willingly exchanged it after I had waited 2 weeks for it to be sent back from the engineers, it was annoying though because I lost all my ringtones, pictures etc :o( another time the fault was due to water damage ie. my fault not theirs and they wouldn't exchange it although they said if I paid the insurance installments from the start of the current contract and continued to pay them then they would exchange it. Don't know how it works if this is a pay as you go phone that you're talking about though!

If its contract then yes.
If you have a receipt then maybe.
If its pay as you go, or you have no receipt, then maybe not. It entirely depends on the shop's policies with regards to exchange/refunds: if they give say 6months to take something faulty back, then you'll be fine. But if they allow only 14days (like most places) then to be honest you're totally screwed.
On the other hand, the phone itself and the manufacturer of the phone should have a warranty: usually 6months or 12 months. If it does, then go straight to the manufacturer.
The other alternative is to go directly to Vodafone, rather than the shop: again, they may have their own personal warranty or guarantee for it.
Try the shopp first, if that doesn't work, go to Vodafone. Go the manufacturer as a last resort.
Hope that helps!

I work a t phones 4 u, and noprmally after 28 days you wouldn't get an exchange or refund. They'll most likely send it off to get fixed. Depending on shop's policy, they may or may not give you a loan phone.

They wont give a refund after 30 days but they will send it to the repair dept who will fix it for you . Take it to a vodafone store and they will assist ( former employee)
