I was wondering if anyone has an experience of taking their own oil to the dealer?

Cheers.......

Yes you should be able to. Call them to make sure.you can. make sure you have a high quality oil and ask for any leftover oil back. We used to do it all the time at the shop I worked at. It is recommended that Subaru's use 5w-30 oil(synthetic for turbos).
The only money they will take off is the price of oil.

I have had customers bring in their own oil into my Midas store before. Personally, I think you should just go to a quicky lube or something, it would be cheaper than the dealer. Or if you want, you can change it yourself and save even more money. Most auto supply places will take the used oil.

Most places will use yours, but still charge full price for the oil change. Others will wail and squeal about possible lawsuits. One or two will actually use your oil and deduct a few bucks from the bill. (Oil is the cheapest part of the oil change process for them. They get it in bulk. 55 gallon drums at a time.)

You typically can, only way to know for sure is to call them and ask, but they won't give you any discount for using your oil and they may not honor their warranty if something breaks because they were using your oil which they can claim was not to their quality requirements.

you can but the way they price it is as a package deal. and they arnt gonna change there price for you. so your best bet is use what they have. if you wanting to run/ switch synthetic they offer mobil 1. but as for "BYOO" bring your own oil keep it at home. or just change it yourself.
