Most of their clothing is similar to Columbia, which does not have this designation. I got Timberland sweatshirt, and people called me a wannabe which they do not do with my hollister or columbia sweatshirts. How did it get this designation?

1.) Because there is a Hip Hop producer who is named TIMBERLAND. (He produced Sexy back, and Permiscuous Girl)
2.) Because it's a brand that has been advertised in Hip Hop, and well thats why it's so gangsta!

I don't wear it, but since it's been in Hip Hop it's considered gangsta even tho hip hop isn't gangsta...hehe

well me being from da hood let me tell you. Because mostly we wear "tims"/the boots to fight...Because they are big and can stomp people out
It is known that we "always" wear tims...but thats off the topic lolz But with timberland apparel...maybe its just where you come from. they have a idea of what you should or should not wear thus they use that againsted you.

timbaland* is a gangsta* you speel both those words wrong. and he just is a gangsta and if you arent a gangsta then dont wear the clothes. or people will call you a wannabe. if your a prep stay away from gangsta clothes. FYI - HOLLISTER AND COLUMBIA ARE PREP STORES. YOU ARE A PREP.
