You have a couple of options that you can use. The first obviously is the Microsoft Windows Update website. You can go to the site and select custom which will give you hardware and software updates along with the high-priority updates that you need. This is the most basic way to get updates for free. If you perform the windows update on your pc it will get you some of the updates you are looking for.
A very good site to go to get free drivers and updates is www.driverguide.com. You can become a member for free and all you have to provide is a valid email address. This site provides you with a database of over 400,000 drivers to search through. You can download their driver tool which will scan all your hardware and drivers on your pc. It will provide some of the updates that Microsoft Windows Update could not. And if you ever need to search for hard to find drivers you might need to reinstall or update, this site is very convenient to have. And if you cannot find one you can send a request for the driver for them to try and locate it for your. I highly recommend this site to use in times of need. Best of luck

Assuming you use Windows, which I think is a good assumption, since you are looking for driver updates, you go to either Microsoft's web site, or to the web site of the manufacturer of your computer. I would not go anywhere else, because software downloaded elsewhere is likely to be virus ridden.
To get updates from Microsoft, go here:

Go right out to the Microsoft Update site and click on Customize and it will scan for drivers and they will show up if you need them.
