For a small strand of beads, I would recommend just a permanent glue in a tube. Just get one that dries clear and is appropriate for use with whatever materials your beads and the white thing are made from. So much easier when working with very small items. And they seem to make a gazillion kinds these days. Just make sure it works on your surfaces and dries clear.

It's difficult when you look at your options at the store, there are so many to choose from. Honestly, I just picked one of the cheapest ones I could find. I made sure that it had a little metal flip type stand so that I could stand it up while it was heating up. When you buy the gun, read the package to see what size glue stick it takes.
Once you get it home and are ready to use it, just put the stick in the opening, and plug it in. Be sure to put a piece of paper underneath the gun, the glue melts and sometimes leaks out of the tip during heating. You know it's ready by squeezing the trigger. If the glue comes out easily, you're set! It probably would be best if you placed the glue on the area you want the strand of beads to go rather than directly on the beads, you'd be less likely to burn your fingers. The glue is HOT and so is the tip of the gun.
The glue dries clear, but sometimes you can see the glue if you leave too thick of a clump. And there tend to be lots of thins strands of glue hanging around afterwards too, but those are easy to break away and don't affect the work you've done.
Have fun!

Yes, there are different types of glue and different sizes. You probably just need the small one. The glue comes in high temp, low temp and multi use temp. The high temp seems to dry clearer, but is more dangerous to use and will not come off of anything easy. You will probably be happy buying a multi use gun with multi use glue sticks. Keep a bowl of cold water near by so that if you do get some of the hot glue on your fingers, you can dip it quickly into the water to cool the glue and get it off your finger.
Also, there are types of glue dispensers where you dip instead of using a gun, there may be other types out now too that might help give you a smaller bit of glue that will help keep it from showing. Go to a craft store and see what they have. They are not real expensive, and, once you find uses for them, worth their weight in gold.

Oh honey, it's real easy... you just have to be careful when you use it because the tip is super hot!! The only thing that goes in the glue gun is glue sticks. There are glue guns with different temperatures, hot. or low, and there's a dual temp but it's more expensive. No, it melts clear so it shouldn't show. And when you squeeze it you need to do a lil' bit at a time and then use a toothpick if you need to spread it, but you have to move quickly because it cools fast too so you won't have a big glob. But you can go get them anywhere, and they have them from handsized to oversized glue guns.. but you'll just need a basic one for your project because it's nothing that major.Good Luck.

No, it's not hard. Don't touch the end obviously and be careful not to get it on yourself. There are differnt sized ones, but for the project your doing, you only need a little one that you can get from Joanne Fabrics for a few dollars. The glue dries clear so it will not show. The glue is bought according to the size gun you have, they're labled so its easy to figure out.
Hope that helps!!
