my dad said roller blades are better but i said roller skates are better wich is faster he said roller blades are is that true? Whats your opinion? Please help thanks lots!! God bless!!

Me and my son just had this conversation over the week end. He likes roller blades and I prefer quad skates myself. He says that roller blades go faster and roll smoother, I say (being in my mid 30's and slightly out of practice) that the quad skates are easier to stand up on regardless if they dont go as fast as the others. There are also skates like roller blades that use scooter wheels and they are super fast and have (I think) 5 or 6 wheels inline instead of the normal 4. My son was telling me that this was what he wanted for his birthday this year so thats the only reason I know this.

I have both... Blades are faster but they are different the the skates. Buy which you are more comfortable in. Most the time when I go skating I take both with me because I would rather use roller skates. But I think now days the younger people go with the blades.

People say that blades go faster, but I still like roller skates. They're classic, fun, and if you can work dual axles, then that seems like a lot of skill to me.

Roller skates for the pure retro memory. Don't you just love the memory of your first pair of rollerskates? Probably the Fisher Price blue and yellow ones that changed size by adjusting this lil bar on the bottom. They were amazing. I have the most fond memories of just shimmying around on the kitchen floor and falling over.

hehe. i roller blade. i guess its faster for more experienced skaters but roller skates are for those just starting out.

I agree with you..I don't know about being faster but I like roller skates better...rollerblades just look gay to me
