Most invertebrates, fish, amphibians, quite a few reptiles, some birds. Mammals are the big exception I can think of, although there are examples of parental care in all the others as well.

guinea pigs.......they can be sold and live fine the day they are born......very cute too if i might add! but like all babies.......they grow up!
