I am so bad on huge tests like SATs, ACTs, and I have a praxis test coming up. I must raise my score one point in order to pass. What are some ways I can calm down and not worry so much?

Everyone gets nervous before those tests. All you can do is prepare the best you can. Just give yourself a reasonable amount of time for studying without stressing yourself out. Also, make sure you don't cram the night before the test. Make sure you get enough sleep and eat a good breakfast. What helps me to calm down during a big test is to wear something comfy to the test center (such as sweat pants and flip flops) and plan something fun to do afterwards to reward yourself for all your hard work. Good luck you'll do great!

Take practice tests. Then you will have an idea as to what the format of the question is.

Read the questions - answer easy ones first. Most of these tests are timed, right? So it is better to answer as many as you can easily. Also, read the questions carefully and read ALL the responses before choosing one. (Sometimes the first one IS right, and all the others, and there is "All of the above" which gets missed at the end!)

And try not to worry so much - if you DON'T pass, your life will go on! You can find other ways into college! You will!

Best of luck!

It's normal to be very nervous, I am generally a very nervous guy (even going to meet friends I get very nervous). Doing the driving test was horrible, I hated that whole time (learning, taking the test, failing and then waiting for the re-take). It's just something you're going to have to do. It will be horrible but you may as well do it as early as possible. It will be over eventually and lemme tell you the relief, knowing you never have to go through that again, is like no other.
