If you mean to stick something like a name tag then best thing really is Velcro- you can get the stick on ones rather then sew it on. You could try using the two way sticky tape that is used for sticking pictures on the wall too. Another idea is to buy some brown duct tape, cut a piece, roll it up, stick on clothes and stick whatever you want to stick on that.

when I was a sprout, 80 years ago, my momma used something she made with flour and water or milk....It has been awile since I had that problem. I wud ask some of the elderly folks in your neighborhood, or antique shops, hobby shops, your gramma,or someone elses gramma

try putting on velcro from a fabric store it will stick to what ever has the other side of the velcro on and not much else
