They are called "Daytime Safety Lights". They are supposed to be safer because they make the car more visible to other cars.

Because the newer cars have headlights that come on automatically so your car chooses when it thinks your lights should be on.

those lights are called daytime running lights and they are for safety reasons. When they are on it makes for the other driver to see your car more easier.

there called day time driving lights, something someone came up with but didnt catch on very good and the feds didnt think it needed to be mandated. its so you can see the vehicle easier ?!?!?!?!?! if you need to see lights to tell if a car is coming at you in the daytime, please stay off of missouri roads ;)

Other cars can see you better, that's why it is the law in some states if your windshield whippers are on your headlights must be on.

just in case you dont live in a tree and wanna know there called daytime running lights. they are standard in canada and will be by 2008 in the USA. so fyi to you climb out of your nut shell and open your eyes and ears.

gooodness mercy me.. how old are you.. do u not know.. that some cars are equipped with daytime running lamps for safety in canada only.. and sometimes people just feel comfortable with them on.. WHAT KINDA QUESTION IS THAT YO!!
