I am a US citizen of Indian origin residing in India for the past 5 years. I would like to repatriate earnings made in India back to the US. Can I do this? If so, how?

is there any way you can deposit the money into a bank there that has an international credit or debit card, and then just use the card to pay for things here in the states without actually bringing the money here? you can bring the money with you but the taxes are high. stop by belize on your way home and open up an account there.

May be yes.

Check first with consulate, they will advice or tell you to see a lawyer. They may have a list of them.

Check with banks and Reserve Bank of India, by mail, e-mail or in person at a branch.

sorry to say but you are in for a little bit of fun. You will have to deal with the bureaucracy and get a 'clearance'. only legal way.

start with your local bank.

better to change currency into the us dollars and send that money by the your realated people& freinds & beliveng persons
