Hey, recently I picked up a 95 honda accord ex with about 192K miles on it for 5 grand total. Since I don't know that much about cars I looked it up in KBB and it was priced right so I bought it. Then I started realizing problems with it, the idle is kind of shot, theres some metal shavings in my transmission fluid so I'm starting to wonder how much life it has left. The timing belts were replaced twice and the ones on it are pretty new but it still makes a lot of noise on acceleration. I also have a small hole in the intermediate pipe on the exhaust, am I losing any power or mpg by that? I was told that I need to replace the boots on the two front bearings which I was quoted at about $230 to fix both. Was I better off without this car?

hmmm, kbb.com quoted about 5,600 for it so I didnt think I was doing too bad. I was looking for a car for like two months and it started getting really cold so I was getting desperate. So I paid 4500 andthe other 500 was for taxes. I realize I paid a little too much now... How much life do you think is left in it? It has all its records and it was only owned by one person who was an old man so it hasnt been abused and all the records showed that he had it serviced at regular intervals. I think I could get another 50k miles from it what do you think?
